We went on our first Family Vacation September 17th-25th to Orlando, FL!! It was much needed time away from day to day life and a perfect way to spend quality time together! Grammy and Grampy Whetsel also joined in on the fun!
The kids did better than we thought they would do on the car ride down. We do not have a DVD player in the van so when they found out that they were going to be watching their favorite shows for hours on end they could have cared less if we ever stopped at all.

Our picnic lunch…we drove out of our way to find a park for the kids to play at for a little while! When we left we realized we must have taken the long way because it took no time at all to get back to the interstate! It was still fun and a great way to burn off some energy.

We spent our first night in Valdosta, Ga and the kids loved exploring the hotel room.

The next morning after breakfast they were having a blast going in and out of the doors. I am sure the hotel staff was happy that we were leaving!
DAYTONA BEACH
Our first stop on day 2 was the beach!

Cater loved the ocean and was not afraid at all. He enjoyed playing in the sand just as much.
Lila wanted nothing to do with the water but she enjoyed picking up all of shells along the shore.
Madelyn warmed up to the water pretty quickly and also loved the sand and shells.
“Listen here Grampy” I need to pick up these shells pronto.

We then headed to our final destination…Marriott's Harbour Lake in Orlando FL!!
