A fun filled start to 2012

 

I just love this picture!!! There is nothing sweeter in this world than when sibling's show their true love for each other!  Now if they were always this sweet to each other!

 

Playtime at Totter Otterville.  They just love this place!  The grocery store/kitchen/house area, the trains and the playhouses are favorites.

We went to see Disney Live:Three Classic Fairy Tales.  I wasn’t sure how they would do sitting for an hour and half but I couldn’t have been more proud of them.  They sat through the entire show with no melt downs or really much wiggling at all!

Of course the snacks helped!

Our friends Avery, Colby and Zach came too!  6 2 year olds=success! Who would have thought!!!!

They had story time while we were there and all 3 loved it but Carter really got into it!

What have we been up too?

Lila is talking in 2 to 3 word sentences now.  Some of which I can understand and others I am still trying to figure out.  She now thinks she no longer needs her highchair so she is now just sitting in a regular chair at meals.  It was a struggle at first to get her to actually sit and not stand or walk to and from the table but she is doing much better now. Lila is still the leader of the group.

I am still looking for Carter’s foreign family.  I haven’t quite figured out what language he is speaking but I am quite certain it is not English.  We jabbers away as if he is really telling you something and then he will usually end the long conversation with a word…up, eat, down, a name, etc.  He can say words and knows objects but I think he just finds it easier to jabber.  He is also the lover, the peacemaker and sharer the of the group.  He will most of the time give up a toy that someone else wants and actually smiles as he hands it over.  Although something's he is not as quick to hand over.

Madelyn is the nurturer and she is still carrying around the baby Mamoo and Papoo gave her on her birthday despite all the dolls she has received since then.  She takes her baby everywhere and makes sure she is feed, clean and well cared for.  She loves play pretend mommy.  She is talking up a storm and her words are much clearer than Lilas.  She surprises me everyday with her new words and sentences and is very quickly catching up with Lila.
