Happy 20 month old!!!
My worst nightmare occurred a few days ago. Carter manage to climbed out of his crib. We went outside for a few minutes after they settled down in their beds for the night and never thought anything about it because once it is quite they are usually out. I came back inside to a whaling child. I ran toward the room realizing as I got closer that he was indeed standing at the door. How??? I have no idea and thankfully he hasn’t done it sense. I think it scared him enough that hopefully he will not try it again.
Lila is saying more and more words…among the new ones are thank you, bubba, mommy, daddy, happy…..she pretty much tries to repeat anything we say!
Poor Madelyn is still turned around backward in her car seat because of her weight and as a result I think it is making her very sick. She has been getting car sick more and more often and I can’t say I blame her…I feel sick just when I ride in the backseat…I guess she got it from me.
Daddy took a long holiday weekend and we spent it having lots of fun as a family.
Saturday we went to a splash park and invited our friend Izzy along.
Not sure if we are ready to jump in or not
Carter testing the waters
Hey Look girls the alligator is going to eat you

The best one I could get of Lila!!
Carter stood forever and tried to catch the water spraying out
Strutting her stuff
Ring around the Rosey with Izzy
Spending some quality time with Dad and his Ipad
On Sunday, we had some family time with Brad’s side of the family and even stayed up late enough to watch the fireworks
We played in the water all day long!
Cousins
Brynlee and Carter discussing the pool plans
Braeden resisting the urge not to dump water on Madelyn
Time for lunch and The cookies were delicious!
The girls enjoying some fun in the sun
Carter enjoying the whole pool to himself
Sweet Brynlee filling up the girls water cups over and over as they ask just to have them dump the water out immediately but she didn’t seem to mind,
Madelyn was loving hanging out with cousin Brynlee
Staying hydrated and drinking some yummy Gatorade out of straws.
Wait a minute people don’t start this volleyball game without me.
playing volleyball as he insisted
Playing in the sand with cousin Kera
This stray dog kept coming up to the porch and everyone was shooing it away. But Brad felt bad for her so her went out and gave her some lovin and the kids enjoyed petting her too.
Some mommy and Lila time
Carter swinging with the girls and laughing with that contagious laugh.
Getting ready to watch fireworks but first off we had to ALL swing with Aunt Shell and Mamoo
The next day while mommy and daddy worked outside we ate our first popsicles and they sure were tasty.
Giving Daddy his popsicle and much needed break. Maggie wanted a bite too!
Madelyn
Carter says…mmmmmm
Carter feeding Madelyn part of his popsicle…What a sweet brother…this kind of sisterly brotherly love doesn’t happen that often
Lila say…mmmmmmm
So Dad..where’s the rest of the popsicles
Off to play in the sand
Carter thoroughly enjoys getting Lila on the ground and then laying on top of her. And of course like any boy he wont stop…he just keeps at it.
This boy is trouble…climbing in the chair and standing right up and then laughs.
What an exhausting but fun weekend!!!
