We have so much to be thankful for this Christmas. Last year we prayed that Madelyn would be home for Christmas and she came home just in time for us to celebrate...it was perfect Christmas gift. However, it wasn't the same because we were not able to celebrate with all of our family and this year we did!! We are so thankful this Christmas for our three very healthy little ones.
Our Christmas Eve parade
Lila is finally 20 pounds and rode forward facing for the first time on the way to Christmas Eve.
Christmas Eve with Mamoo Hopperton’s side of the family.
Playing with babydolls
Madelyn helping feed the baby and wanting to drink the fake sippy cup
It’s present time….
Lila on her new bike…she loves this thing
Brad putting together Carter’s toy…something tells me the cousins did this on purpose…pay back for all of those nerf guns and loud toys we bought their kids in the past but TIMES THREE!!
Finally enjoying the toy
Madelyn would rather socialize!
Carter playing with the big boys and the girls trying to ride the bike at the same time!
Christmas morning at Mamoo Hopperton’s
Santa left us books…we love books.
More Santa gifts
The favorite Santa gift of all…the Mickey Couch…oh how I wish he would have brought us three because they all adore this couch.
Hey there Mickey…
Mags enjoyed her Christmas presents this year more then she ever has…she has never opened gifts but she was tearing through them!!!
Oh what could it be…
A horse from Aunt Shell…Madelyn likes it but Carter and Lila are scared to death of it.
Then we drove to Jackson on Christmas Day for more Christmas fun with Grammy and Grampy Whetsel.
Under the coffee table…trying to hide!!
Playing with our new table from Aunt Wanda…we love it!
Boxes make the best presents
Helping Grammy open her gift
Madelyn modeling her new vest and Carter helping Grampy
What is it what is it…..
A new kitchen to cook mommy dinner…they love it. Carter just kept going around and around it shoving Lila out of the way when he passed her.
Then back home finally to celebrate a little more….mommy and daddy got us baby dolls and trucks.
Then it was time for some sledding
Maggie was chasing Carter and Daddy down the hill barking the entire way
The girls were cheering them on…yeah right
This is my favorite
Carter feel off and got left behind
Lila says hey wait don’t forget Carter
Shew…finally inside and ready to relax!!
Lila is walking all over the place now. Here she is walking toward the camera but takes a little tumble at the end:0)
Carter took 4 big steps today! He is not afraid at all to fall down so I really don’t think it will be long. Madelyn is standing quite well on her own and just the other day was grabbing a piece of furniture and letting go to reach toward something else…so she is getting brave!
The only show that we have watched they have kept their attention is the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. When they see me pick up the remote they start yelling and pointing at the tv. Then when the theme song comes on its total silence. Carter is in stare mood, Lila is clapping and pointing, and Madelyn is bobbing her head, dancing, and clapping. Its an amazing thing in a moment of despair. At the end of the show they play a song called hot diggity dog of which they adore. If they have drifted away during the show you can bet that when they hear the song they all come scurrying back to watch. I usually tell them to tell Mickey Bye because we turn off the tv when the show is over. So now when they hear this song the girls will starting waving at the tv saying bye bye while Carter does a little bounce move to the music….its so darn cute.
And FINALLY Carter is the first one to say “mama”…its about time. I was starting to get overruled by all the dadadadadda that was going on.
Well that’s all for now…my new year’s resolution is to post more regularly as things happen….so we will see;)
