It has been a very busy couple of weeks!!! We have been on the move lately enjoying the summer weather.
Here are some 7 month snapshots…
Lila is trying to crawl…she is getting into everything. She manages to get up on all fours and rocks back and forth and even lounges forward trying to get somewhere. Here she is climbing under the exersaucer and I also found her under the swing headed for some cords…time to baby proof.
We made yet another trip to the zoo with our multiples group. This was just a quick trip to hang out with some buddies!!
Carter just loves covering his head with sheets and blankets…he manages to do this on his own. Here he is sitting up all by himself!!
Madelyn has two speeds…energizer bunny or zonked. She is always smiling and busy busy looking around at everything…she can’t miss a beat. However, when she is needs to sleep she just crashes…life is exhausting when you are this busy.
Mommy’s beautiful little girls….daddy hates these hair bows but I think they look just adorable!
And Mommy’s sweet baby boy!
On Monday we went to our first Cincinnati Red’s game. It was Red’s Babies Day for any baby or babies born in 2009 at Good Sam. So we decided to brave it and see how it went. I have to say I was a little nervous about going because the babies bedtime is 7:30 and that is what time the game started but they did great. However, we did have alot of help Grammy Judy, Mamoo Delores and Papoo Terry joined us and believe it or not we stayed for the entire game!! We had to be there at 6 because we were going to have the opportunity to be in a Baby parade around the field. Yes we actually got to walk on the field. This was the highlight of the day for Brad…he was so excited he couldn’t stand himself. We just couldn’t get there early enough and actually arrived at the game before the gates were even open….
Here we are patiently waiting for the gates to open at the ball park so we can go have some fun!!
Here is Carter all decked out in his Reds gear…Mamoo got him his first Reds outfit and Grammy got his first Reds ball cap.
Here are the girls sporting there Reds attire and adorable bows that our friend Angela made the girls.
Daddy patiently waiting to go on the field
Lined up under the stadium ready to go…can you tell how hot it was
Finally on the field…if you look closely you can see Brad and Terry
Brad and Carter in front of the scoreboard
Brad, Carter, Terry and Madelyn
We were not suppose to stop for pictures on the field but you will see that we stopped several times. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity and we all know how much I love taking pictures…so that was not an option for us!!!
The baby parade
One proud daddy…he said at one point that this was one of the best days of his life!!!!!
And another picture……………and another
Up close…the Reds dugout and Johnny Cueto
We were not suppose to touch the grass either and this was our second time with Carters feet in the grass. We didn’t get a picture the first time:) Daddy is such a rebel!
HOMERUN
Enjoying the game….we had such a great time!!!
God just keeps answering our prayers and we have so much to be thankful for. We recently went back to Children’s for a repeat eye exam. Premature babies are at a higher risk for developing cross eyes, lazy eyes, and vision problems. However, all of our babies eye sights are currently in a normal range and have no other problems that they can see so far. So no more checkups for a year…this is great news!!!
We also took a trip back to Good Sam for a developmental checkup. Everyone is all right on target and even some areas we are ahead of schedule. We are going to possibly have some physical therapy for some minor issues but nothing major which is a huge blessing.
Our current weights…..
Lila 15 lbs 7 ounces
Madelyn 11 lbs 4 ounces
Carter 18 lbs 12 ounces…WOW
We also started eating something besides cereal…our first venture was bananas and they were a hit. Today mommy wanted to try avocados because she just loved them and ate them like crazy while pregnant so surely the babies would like them…WRONG. Madelyn stopped opening her mouth…only for cereal and she was very careful to even open for that until she knew it wasn’t the green yucky stuff, Carter gagged…just like his daddy, and Lila was willing to give it a try but wasn’t really digging it much. So no more avocados…tomorrow we are going to try peas!!!
Well that’s all for now!!!!
