So we had a blast while daddy was on vacation and just spent alot of quality family time together. We debated whether or not to go somewhere but decided that just staying home and relaxing would be best for all of us! Daddy had a great time hanging out with us all week but I think he was ready to go back to work!! He was sweet enough to get up with the babies every morning and feed them and let me sleep in a little. I am not sure who was really on vacation!
The much anticipated baby contest had finally arrived at the Owen County fair. The attire was swimwear and we sported our finest outfits. I have to admit that we had the cutest babies there! When I went to sign us in at the registration table there was two separate lines one for girls and one for boys. When it was finally my turn and they asked boy or girl I said “well I have a boy and 2 girls”…the response you must have the “TRIPLETS”. Yep that’s us…guess we were probably the talk of the town when they received our registration form a few weeks before.
The girls were on stage first and here is Carter getting ready to watch his sisters.
Brad went back stage with me and helped with the girls. We decided that I would take them all on stage. First up was Madelyn and she was not interested at all in looking at the judges…as you can see in the picture she wouldn’t look at them. I even turned around and she turned her head again. I think she was trying to figure out what was going on. I even raised her up over my head in hopes she would give one of her great big smiles but no such luck!! But she did looked awfully cute!
Up next was Lila, this is me laughing because the judges had puzzled look on there face when I came out with another baby and then of course they thought…oh twins!!
No smiles from Lila either but she looked adorable!
And finally it was Carter’s turn…this time I received a very puzzled look from the judges and they said oh do you have triplets…I replied “yes I do!!” and they just giggled!! Carter was of course a ham and gave them a great big smile. Of course the judges were two women so he just had to flirt!
After everyone had been judged two girls and two boys were asked to come back out to see the judges and Carter was one of the boys. While the judges were looking at him and another little boy Carter started doing his hand motions. He sticks his hands out and does a squeeze thing with his fingers like he is asking for something. It is so cute and the judges just loved it!!
They loved it so much that here Carter is accepting his trophy for the Cutest Boy in Owen County!!! He really liked his trophy and as soon as they handed it to me he grabbed it and hugged it…too cute!
Yummy…trophies are delicious
They boy and his first trophy…as Dad stated!
Daddy’s comment on the fact that Carter won baby contest was…”and they say he looks just like me!!!”
A proud papa!
Here are the girls…we are proud of all of them and are all winners in our eyes!!!
Enjoying the fair!!
We officially have two crawlers…Madelyn and Lila both are on the loose. Just within the past few days Madelyn has really started moving about more. I think she has learned that she can get away with alot of things when she just gives us that beautiful smile. So she now has what we call a fake smile…check it out!!
Crawling everywhere!!!
Lila has been on the move for the past few weeks and is really getting around well. Today while I was in the kitchen I had a surprise guest….there she was and she went all the way around the island. She seemed so proud of herself and later I had a second guest (Madelyn) but she didn’t make it quite as far! She also loves to climb all over me when I am laying on the floor. She climbs over me to get to the other side and then back over again. If I am sitting on the floor she tries to climb up in my arms and I have to say I love that. Currently everything is Ba ba ba ba ba and I have been trying to make it ma ma ma!!!
First time pulling herself up to a standing position…we thought it would be a nice time to lower the crib!!!
Hey sis…what are you doing in there!!
Lila finally sitting well and she can also pull herself up to a standing position!
Look at all of Carter’s hair…I am so jealous. I only wish that I could put bows in it!! Here he is sitting up playing with his toys but he is rolling everywhere to get to what he wants. He has also discovered his screaming voice and it is very loud so let’s just hope that phase passes quickly!
On Tuesday, we went to one of our triplet mommy’s house for a Slash Day. We had a blast just hanging out in the shade with everyone.
Here is the newest additions to our food adventures… peaches from aunt shells peach tree (YUM), green beans and even some cheerios!! So far we love them all!!!
