On Sunday October 9th, the Institute for Reproductive Health had their bi-annual Baby Reunion at the Cincinnati Zoo. The Zoo was also having Hall-Zoo-Ween so we dressed up in our Halloween costumes.
We were very excited to see Dr Scheiber and show off our beautiful trio. I can’t even begin to explain how humbled I feel that God put this man in our lives and for giving him the abilities to help us conceive. Through all of our struggles and up and downs, Dr Scheiber never gave up on us and always remained positive and optimistic. I am truly grateful for him and he will always have a special place in my heart. I was also so happy to see Nicole who is a nurse at the clinic. For some reason, we just clicked from the beginning and I felt so comfortable around her. It was great to see her again and her little girl who is about 4 months older than ours.
We decided to get the kids out of the train to see Dr Scheiber. Lila and Carter needed to be held because they kept running off. When it was time to take a picture I was a little concerned what we were going to do with Madelyn, She tends to be a little shy especially around those she doesn’t know. Dr Scheiber held out his arms to pick her up and with the biggest grin on her face she went right to him. She loved every minute that he held her laughing and giggling the entire time. I was completely in awe and its almost as if she knew who he was and what he had done for us! Truly amazing!!!
Lila was dressed as Wendy, Carter Peter Pan, and Madelyn Tinker Bell.
Watching the Giraffes having a snack
Exploring the ZOO
Looking at the Goats
Carter brushing the goat
Madelyn’s turn to brush the goat
And Lila just tapped the goat with her brush..she wasn’t sure she about him.
The Lion was our favorite animal this trip and we all kept saying “roar roar roar”.
Lila figuring out where we should go next!
Lila giving resting her head for just a minute
We really enjoyed our day at the zoo and the wonderful picnic lunch provided by IRH. It was amazing to see all of the people that have been blessed by this clinic and we were honored to show off our children to the doctors and nurses that meant so much to us during our struggle to conceive.
