Happy 18 months old!! 1 1/2 years old already??
We went back to Good Sam for a 15 month adjusted age developmental assessment. The therapists were watching the kids play to assess how their gross and fine motor and speech skills match up to that of a 15 month old (which is how old they would be if born at full term). Everyone is right on target and in some areas were even above their current age developmentally. They feel that Lila is doing so well that they graduated her from program which is wonderful news. During the evaluation we were finally given the answer to Carter’s clumsiness. He has low muscle tone in his legs and therefore is walking on the insides of his feet and consider it to be moderate weakness. When they pointed it out to me I could see it right away. They also felt that Madelyn was doing the same but felt that hers was much less moderate. So what does this all mean for us!! Braces for our legs and physical therapy every other week starting mid-June.
On May 1st, we went to our annual Reds Baby Day. I was a little concerned at how everyone would do because at this stage we really do not like sitting still!! To my surprise, they did wonderful and actually seemed to enjoy the outing.
