Happy 1/2 Birthday Molly (6 months old)

Molly is such a happy baby lately!  Everything is hilarious to her and she loves attention. She loves the kids and always wants to be right in the action. If they are ignoring her she lets them know it by giving a big scream and most of the time Lila is the one that comes running right to her to see what she needs and Molly just lights up.

In some situations she can be a little stranger shy and cries until mommy holds her and then she is just fine talking to anyone.  Its strange for me that she is such a mommy’s

At her 6 months check up she was:

13 lbs 8 oz – 9th percentile

25 inches long – 42nd percentile

She was in the 67th percentile for her head

Crazy enough her stats were identical to Lila's as her 6 month checkup!

Getting a picture this time around wasn’t as easy! Molly loved the sound of the sticker on the sequin heart!  She takes a look at, rips it off and crinkles it up!

Just looking cute!

Enjoying some of my fun toys!

She is a busy little beaver!  When she is sitting in her bouncy seat, car seat or bumbo her little feet twirl around and around and so does her little hands.  Its like she gearing herself up to go!  I think she's ready to start moving, She defiantly prefers standing opposed to sitting. Unless her brother and sisters decide she needs all of her toys!

We just started cereal and we have only had brown rice so far but she really seems to like. Well other than when Carter tried to shove the spoon down her throat! Poor baby!

She loves faces. She enjoys grabbing your nose, eyes cheeks, lips, hair anything she can touch and explore.

Love these little feet!

She loves her brother and sisters.  She is always screaming at them to get their attention and sometimes she just screams I think to try and compete with all the noise!  One morning all the big kids had went to spend the night with Grammy and it was just Molly and I.  She was so confused and really seemed uneasy with it being so quiet. She kept looking around as if to say where is everyone…where are my playmates! She was much happier when they came back.  Same goes for bedtime and naptime.  She does not like to leave the party and most generally only takes a good nap when the kids are quite or napping themselves.

Library, the dentist and gymnastics!

Carter has a few new buddies!  Santa brought him a talking buzz light year for Christmas and he has a  Woody doll that he has had since we went on our Disney trip a few years back.  They are now his best friends!  He sleeps with them every night and would take them everywhere if I let him! He is toy story obsessed right now:)

Here he is flying buzz around mamoo’s saying “to infinity and beyond”

Woody and Buzz going on a trip and Woody visiting the library riding on Carter’s shoulders just like Andy does!

We go to story time every week! We attend both the Gallatin and Owen County libraries!  We started out at Gallatin last year but we decided to start going to the Owen as well since that is probably were we will be going to school. Mamoo goes with us when we go to Gallatin so that is always a lot of fun!  They absolutely love story time and I have seen a huge improvement in their behavior, listening skills and the ability to sit still since we started a year ago.

We also started gymnastics earlier this month! I was a little hesitant at first because the 3 year old and up group goes in alone and I wasn’t sure how they would do.  But to my surprise they do great! They usually want me to go in and do the exercises with them but once it is time to go with Ms Katie they could care less if I am there or not. I was so surprised when I watched Ms Katie give them instruction's on how to do several different stations and thought for sure they wouldn’t be able to remember what to do but they do really great listening and at least trying to do each activity at the station.  We were planning on just doing one month but they love it so much I think we are going to have to continue.

We also went to the dentist for the first time.  Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures because I was busy sitting in the chair.  Lila was the first to sit in the chair but only if she could sit with me.  After the hygienist explained what she was going to do in fun kid language Carter was ready to go in a completely different room by himself to have his teeth cleaned.  Madelyn on the other hand wanted to wait until she could sit in my lap too.  They all let Dr Troy look inside their mouths and still talk about Dr Troy checking their teeth!  I think it was a really fun experience for them and they even got a toothbrush, toothpaste and a few hundred toys!!  After their appointment I had to get my teeth cleaned and few teeth needed fixed.  Grammy stayed with the kids in the lobby and I thought for sure it would be a total disaster.  I even came out to check on the them periodically and suggested them going to the car but they were doing so well there was no need to.  I was so proud at how well they behaved they were while they were waiting!

Growing up way too fast!!!

Molly is 5 months old

SO excited to be 5 months old!!!

IMG_2470

This little gal loves attention!  The more the better.

This is the famous Molly smile! As wide open as her mouth can get. When she gets excited her mouth opens as wide as it will stretch and she slaps her hands on her legs.

Practicing sitting up! Loving the Bumbo and all things to chew on.

IMG_2340

I still love this doll! Its defiantly my favorite toy!

IMG_2242

I love playing in the jumperoo

IMG_2380

Love her to pieces. She is very much a momma’s girl.  She has grown maybe a little to attach to me.  I am pretty much the only one that can calm her and I must be in her sight at all times.

Raspberries are the newest trick

Precious little fingers and toes

And we also those feet and toes taste pretty yummy!

IMG_2527IMG_2529

She really enjoys playing, interacting and watching her big brother and sisters.  Lately,Lila enjoys playing with her, helps out with her and even if she is crying and we can’t get to her right away without even asking she goes right there to help distract her.  Such a big helper!

IMG_2169IMG_2178IMG_2201

All cuddling up watching a movie.  Molly loves TV just as much as the kids.  Although I don’t purposely put her in front of it she almost always has to be in the middle of what they are doing.

IMG_2177

Madelyn enjoys cuddling and mothering Molly the most!

And then there is Carter who loves to play with Molly but can sometimes get a little rough.  Just being a boy!
