Can you believe that we are almost one year old?!?! I can remember when they all three were in this chair and there was still alot of room left!!!
Lila still has no teeth and really no signs of them coming in anytime soon. I am not sure if God is just sparing me sometime until she does or what! Developmentally she is doing really great…she chatters up a storm. In fact, she tells Carter and Lila what to do and raises her eyebrows as if to say “whatever you know I am right”. She just started yesterday pointing her finger at me and jabbering….this girl has some serious attitude. Her favorite thing to say is “oy oy oy” like boy with out the b and if you do it back to her she just laughs and laughs. She is also saying a word that sounds like good but I am not sure what she is trying to say. She says da, ba, ca, and ma really well. She is standing alone for several minutes, cruises along the sofa or whatever is the right height for her to cruise. I also think she took a step the other day but I couldn’t be certain.
Carter has FOUR teeth (two upper and two lower). He is very very ticklish and when you barely touch his belly he laughs so hard. For a kid that we were worried would never crawl he is getting around really well. He is standing and cruising and may even beat Lila to walking. He can be a bit of a bully sometimes although I don’t think he means to be. When he wants something you better watch out because he will take out anything and everything in his way and this includes the girls. His favorite word is dadadadadadada and on and on and on and says it with a very hard d sound….too sweet. His newest thing is opening the gate to get into the kitchen where I am. He has figured out how to open the gate, crawls in and then shuts it behind him and the girls just cry because they can’t figure out why he is in there and they are not. Here is the crime in action….
Madelyn still just has two teeth. She never ever sits still and is always moving. You hold her up in the air and she moves her legs up and down, you hold her up with her legs touching the floor and she does the stomp, and when she is sitting she is bouncing and moving her head from side to side…its not wonder she can’t gain any weight. She is perfectly content playing by herself and loves to do things over and over and over again. She is cruising along the couch as well but isn’t quite as steady on her legs yet as her brother and sister. Her choice of words are dada and oba oba and her favorite things to do is twirl what little hair she has on her head. She also enjoys pulling other peoples hair!!
Daddy with one full lap
We are filling our bath seats much better now…we LOVE bath time!
Lila loves looking at books but I want I think she likes most of all is tearing them off the shelf.
Madelyn is always content just flipping through a book…9 times out of 10 she is playing with one of the books. She is really enjoying this one…drool and all.
And Carter still loves to stand…anywhere and everywhere. Hey Mom watcha doing up there.
This is what happens when daddy watches the babies!! He gave Carter and Lila, a Mountain Dew bottle of all things, and this is what happened…
Lila playing with the bottle
Carter steals it
Lila steals it back and Carter says wait a minute
Carter tries to get it back
Struggle
Carter gets it back and he is now very upset
Lila Wins and look at that sad face
These girls wear Mr Carter out. Why can’t they sleep past 7:30. Lila is like clockwork…she NEVER sleeps past 7:30 but poor Carter would love to sleep in a little and ever now and then he and Madelyn get a little extra snoozing!!
